Dilly Dally Deli

Dilly Dally Deli – Slow Food with a Side of Sass

Another college branding project, and (true to form) I made things harder by choosing the funny option. When I asked a friend for deli name ideas, they said, “I made up Dilly Dally Deli when I was eight.” Challenge accepted.

The concept was inspired by my first job at a cozy European bakery in Pensacola, Florida. It was the kind of place where you’d grab a cream puff, sip coffee, and chat for hours. Slow, simple, and charming—in the best way.

Once I committed to the name, I hit a wall. How do you make Dilly Dally Deli feel real? Easy—you lean into the dill. Pickles became the star. I created a brand that’s playful but thoughtful, capturing the unhurried spirit of neighborhood cafés with a quirky twist.

Because sometimes the silliest idea turns into something kind of special.
